LOTS OF INTERESTING educational and consciousness-raising events took place at the Earthcare Center at the 2008 Gathering at Johnstown, Pa. As we have done for each of the past 20 Gatherings, we set up a center for formal and informal gatherings, displays on different QEW projects and concerns, environmental speakers from the Allegheny bioregion, as well as scheduled and on-request video showings on a variety of Earthcare themes. There was also a section for children's books and activities. All of the events were announced in the Gathering's Daily Bulletin. QEW is getting ready for a strong presence at the 2009 FGC Gathering at Blacksburg, Va., June 27 through July 4. Check this page later about QEW's planned programs and Earthcare Center activities.
